Renowned as Australia’s number one bra critic and lingerie business mentor, Renee Mayne, sexy lingerie fitter and founder of Bra Queen, has pledged to put the “sexy” back into fading lingerie businesses. Mayne recently launched an online entrepreneurial membership program known as the Lingerie Vault, which she intends to unite the lingerie industry worldwide and create more variety and diversity in the industry. Its main aim is to teach lingerie professionals the secrets of making their businesses more profitable.
The program is geared especially towards small and independent brands and labels which can be obscured by multiple retailers in the market. According to Mayne, on the surface, the industry appears exciting, glamorous and with an insatiable turnover but she states that, “the truth is it is dominated by only a select few. We want to help brands and retailers connect, gain exposure and help make them money.”Mayne brings eighteen years of business experience to the table to create a business boosting platform in line with her passion and dedication to see the growth and diversification of the lingerie industry. The “Bra Queen” sites lows margins, fluctuating demand, cash flow problems, costly marketing strategies and stagnant stock turnover as some of the major issues that have plague independent lingerie businesses and these combined have caused companies to realize diminished returns.
But Mayne believes that things are turning around. “This is the new economy and things have changed”, she says. She believes that a strong business model and the right guidance, such as that provided by the Lingerie Vault, can inject profit and enjoyment back into businesses that need a helping hand. “Business doesn’t have to be tough; it’s not about the big milestones. It’s about enjoying every step along the way,” she says. “We’re never alone because we are all connected and we can use that in our favour to make a real difference.” The Lingerie Vault program promises to provide the ambitious lingerie entrepreneur with affordably priced access to information.
